Women in Blue | Rosie Langello

Cancer has personally impacted my life, as I lost my grandparents and an uncle to the disease. This disease affects not just those diagnosed but also their loved ones. I never met my grandfather, by my grandmother’s and uncle’s fight left a lasting impression on me, reinforcing the importance of early detection and awareness, especially for colon cancer, a disease that is often preventable with routine screenings.
Being recognized as a Woman in Blue is an opportunity to honor my grandparents and advocate for life-saving conversations. Many people put off screenings due to fear or lack of awareness, but early detection can make all the difference. By speaking up and spreading knowledge, I hope to help prevent others from experiencing the heartbreak of losing someone they love to colon cancer.
